Auto Unlock doesn’t work at all, not even once.

I have re-setup the Auto Unlock configuration at least 10 times, ensuring I use the 2.4ghz wifi band and Bluetooth is on while testing Auto Unlock, I have tested it at least 30 times with both phones mine and my wife, we both use Android.

I’m using a Google Wifi router with two frequencies: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. In every test, when coming back home I make sure to connect to the 2.4 GHz band by placing the router far away. I’ve confirmed that I’m on the 2.4 GHz band each time I test the Auto Unlock feature, but still no success even once.

When I leave home I do actually receive the ‘Away’ notification on the App, and when I’m back I make sure the Bluetooth is always on.

It seems like the system simply doesn’t work at all.

I’m seriously thinking about returning the product.
