# Long time open door automation

The long time open for door sensor only provides options to lock or unlock the door when open for a long time. Not sure how this is helpful. I’d rather configure a duration in which if the door is open for a period of time between certain hours, I receive a notification or alert.

I have the same request. If the door is open for a period of time, you get a notification
