I had an interesting thing happen today. I have a warehouse with u-bolt Wi-Fi pro deadbolts on the doors. When I got home tonight I used my phone app to make sure the building was locked. On the app, one of the locks was greyed out. Strange. So I couldn’t really verify whether that door to the building was locked. I ended up driving all the way back out to my warehouse building to investigate. When I went to this particular door I found the batteries and battery cover on the floor. I surmise that the wind must have blown the door shut at some point that day with enough force that it made the batteries push the cover off of the lock. That’s not good. It’s a design flaw. So, long story short: maybe the folks at X things Ubolt design team will look at this situation and come up with a battery cover that’s a little more robust.
