ULTRALOQ Bolt NFC - Batteries dies in less than 1 month

The out of the box batteries on my ULTRALOQ Bolt NFC died in less than 1 month. We installed this on a new home office that we are building in our back yard. The Wifi signal is intermittent at the moment - once construction is complete we will setup a repeater and boost the signal.
I replaced the OEM batteries with rechargeable. They were very difficult to install - kept popping out. These only lasted a couple weeks and appear to be dead. I have August locks in the house and use rechargeable batteries. I recognize they do not last as long, but I cannot be tossing 8 batteries in the trash every couple months - this is irresponsible and wasteful.
Will the better life improve with the Wifi signal?

@jeffyboy Hi there, we have contacted you in ticket #544657, please kindly check your email. Thanks!

FYI for other folks….
Having a WiFi connection seemed to improve the battery life. However with my standard NiCad rechargeable batteries it only lasted a week.
I purchased a set of 8 LiOn rechargeable batteries from Amazon. These must be closer in size to standard batteries as they easily fit. Also after ~1 month of at least twice daily usage the battery status still shows high. Not sure if it will ever go to low or just die. However even if it dies tomorrow I can accept 1 month
