ULTRALOQ U-Bolt Pro WiFi - motor won't disengage, extremely hard to unlock door

ULTRALOQ U-Bolt Pro WiFi purchased Nov 24. Since new, I had this issue pop up about 6 times now. The lock will be working just fine until it doesn’t.
The issue: the lock will not unlock, nor will it respond to any inputs. Fingerprint scanner does nothing, keypad buttons will light up and beep when pressed but lock does not respond to lock/unlock button. Lock will not respond to app even when blue tooth icon is indicating connection.
Worst of all the lock motor stays engaged, pushing the deadbolt out so unlocking with the key is extremely difficult. (I’m surprised I haven’t broken the key yet)
The batteries are not low when this occurs and wifi connection is good.
I have to remove power to get the lock to resume normal operation. I have a video of me fighting to get the door unlocked. It takes both hands on the key to turn against the motor and if my hand slips, it re-locks. Unfortunately I can’t upload video here.
Each time this has happened, I tell myself that if it happens again, I’m going to yeet the lock out and return to an old fashioned deadbolt with a key. However, just like Charlie Brown believes Lucy won’t pull the football away this time, I continue to give the lock another chance.

Yesterday after the battle to get my shop door open, I disabled auto lock to see if that makes any difference.

First of all, I’d stop trying to force the lock open, particularly with the key… eventually you will probably break the key. Assuming you can get back to it working normally, take out the batteries and just use it like a regular deadbolt.

You said “It takes both hands on the key to turn against the motor and if my hand slips, it re-locks.” This could mean the motor is always “on”, pushing the bolt out OR it’s not disengaged and turns back on when you force it back. If it was merely still engaged it would be hard to force the bolt back in but would NOT re-lock.

BTW, does that mean if your hand doesn’t slip, and you get it fully unlocked, it will not re-lock?

To me it sounds like either a hardware problem (whatever sensor is supposed to tell it the lock has successfully locked is not sending that signal - or the chip inside the lock is not receiving) or the signal is sent and received but the firmware is not properly processing it to disengage the motor. In either case, contact support and get a replacement since your lock is only a month old.

Added NOTE: BTW, the fact that you can reset the lock by pulling the batteries and re-inserting them suggests to me that it is the signal problem. If one is not careful (at least in my vintage lock) installing the lock you can get the connecting wires (from the motor/bolt assembly to the exterior assembly where the brains are) pinched in the bolt assembly, which might result in intermittent bad communications. You can open up your lock and see if the wires are well clear of the moving parts.
