Latch 5 fingerprint recognition

I ordered two latch 5s but the fingerprint recognition was really spotty. Frequently didn’t work at all. I have 2 latch 3s and they have been rock solid. I find both the placement of the fingerprint reader, and the sensitivity of the fingerprint reader, to both be a step down from the latch 3 to the latch 5. I actually uninstalled the latch 5 and bought a used latch 3 off eBay to replace it.
